| The next step is to load the Tetra Power Loads into the Tetra Line Thrower’s Action. The Tetra Power Loads for the Tetra Line Thrower are available in two strengths (‘High’ and ‘Low’). See the Distance Table for appropriate combinations of Lines, Tetra Power Loads and Safety Line Weights. |

#1701 - High (Green) Tetra Power Loads |

#1703 - Low (Yellow) Tetra Power Loads |
| It is always the best practice to load your Tetra Line Thrower just before you intend to fire it rather than to transport it loaded. However, the Action of the Tetra Line Thrower is fitted with a Safety to allow for safe transportation while loaded. The Safety is located at the rear of the receiver just behind the bolt and has three positions. |
|
1. |
The Safety is in the ‘SAFE’ position when its serrated thumb pad is moved all the way back so that it fully covers the ‘Red Dot’. Always carry the Line Thrower in the field in the full ‘SAFE’ position. |
|
2. |
The Safety is in the ‘HALF SAFE’ position when its serrated thumb pad covers only half of the ‘Red Dot’. This position allows you to load the Tetra Line Thrower with the Trigger still blocked. Always load and unload your Tetra Line Thrower with the Safety in the ‘HALF SAFE’ position. (See: Unloading With the Safety In ‘HALF SAFE’). |
|
3. |
The Safety is in the ‘FIRE’ position when its serrated thumb pad is pushed all the way forward exposing the ‘Red Dot’. Never carry the Line Thrower in the ‘FIRE’ position.
| Loading a Tetra Power Load |
| 1. |
|
Put the Safety, located at the rear of the receiver just behind the bolt, into the ‘HALF SAFE’ position by moving it’s serrated thumb pad until only half of the ‘Red dot’ is visible. This position allows for the Bolt to open and close without the chance of the projector firing. |
| 2. |
|
Lift the handle of the Bolt up and draw the Bolt to the rear as far as it will go. |
| 3. |
|
Place a Blank Charge in the groove inside the action with the crimped end facing forward. |

| 4. |
Slide the Bolt forward, then push the Bolt handle down firmly to lock the action. Note: The Line Thrower will not fire unless the bolt is fully closed.

| 5. |
Immediately place the Safety in the ‘SAFE’ position by pulling the serrated thumb pad of the Safety toward the butt of the Stock as far as it will go.

| 6. |
To place the Safety in the ‘FIRE’ position, push the serrated thumb pad of the Safety toward the Bolt as far as it will go.
| Unloading with the Safety in "Half Safe" |
| With the Line Thrower pointed in a safe direction, move the Safety to the ‘HALF SAFE’ position. Lift the Bolt handle and pull it to the rear. Now you may safely unload the Tetra Power Load from the Tetra Line Thrower. Once the Tetra Line Thrower is unloaded, immediately return the Safety to the ‘SAFE’ position. |

|
*The operator of the Tetra Line Thrower should never depend on a safety mechanism or any other mechanical device to justify careless handling or permit the Tetra Line Thrower to point in an unsafe direction. When loaded, unless it is to be fired immediately, the Safety Catch must be placed in the ‘SAFE’ position.
*Always place the safety catch in the ‘SAFE’ position after loading unless you intend to fire the Tetra Line Thrower immediately. Never leave the Tetra Line Thrower unattended while loaded. If you need to leave the Tetra Line Thrower unsupervised, unload it first.

|
With three types of Safety Line Weights, two strengths of Tetra Power Loads, differing weights of Lines and accessories such as the Float Kit or Grapnel Attachment, the combinations possible make it difficult to give specific results for all circumstances.
A good starting point for initial practice would be the Low (yellow) Tetra Power Load, a Medium Safety Line Weight with a Float Kit fitted and a Small Canister.

*Use only Tetra Power Loads supplied by Cap-Chur Equipment for use in the Tetra Line Throwers. Power Loads or Blank Charges designed for other uses may be dangerous if used in the Tetra Line Thrower.
*Any condition, which contributes to the generation of excessive pressure or uncontrolled release of gas within the Tetra Line Thrower, may result in damage to the equipment and/or injury or death to the operator or other persons.
*We specifically disclaim responsibility for any damage or injury whatsoever that occurs in connection with, or as the result of, the use in the Tetra Line Thrower, of Power Loads or Blank Charges other than those which Cap-Chur Equipment supplies for that purpose.
