The New Blank Adaptor does not use an E-ring to hold the Nose Pin in place. Instead the Nose Piece of the Blank Adaptor is threaded. Our reason for this change is to make it easier to remove the Fired Power Load (Fig. 5) from the Blank Adaptor. There are two different Nose Pins offered, a ‘Long’ and a ‘Short’. The ‘Long” Nose Pin offers some additional characteristics due to it’s length: 1. It cuts down the power of the Power Loads when using the larger Syringe sizes (7cc through 20cc). 2. It extends the life of your Tail Pieces by keeping them from getting singed as badly. 3. It makes loading Syringes easier. 4. It makes extracting fired Power Load Cases easier. Overall the Blank Adaptor works the same except for the Nose Pin.
1. Hold the Blank Adaptor by the Nose Piece in your hand, turn the Nose Pin clockwise (5 to 6 turns) to loosen, then push the Nose Pin back into the Blank Adaptor (Fig 5) to remove the Fired Power Load. This may be hard at first; you may need to bump the Nose Pin on a soft object. 2. To replace the Nose Pin to its original position (Firing Position) pull out on the Nose Pin, then turn the Nose Pin counterclockwise (5 to 6) turns or until tight. Again you may need to bump the Nose Pin on a soft object. As you use the Blank Adaptor more the Nose Pin will loosen up. The Nose Pin must be in the ‘Firing’ Position (Fig. 4) in order to load the Syringe properly into the barrel of the Projector. To Clean a Blank Adaptor: It is not necessary to take Blank Adaptor apart each time to clean it. Use any type of oil to flush the powder from the Blank Adaptor. To take the Blank Adaptor apart remove the Nose Piece from the Chamber (it is also threaded), remove the Nose Pin from the Nose Piece (same steps as removing a Fired Power Load). Use any type of gun oil to clean the parts of the Blank Adaptor. You could also use a small brush to clean the threads on the Nose Pin if it becomes difficult to screw in and out of the Nose Piece. |
